Sage & Slip represents my latest passion into handmade artisan pottery, founded in June of 2022. This creative pursuit combines my passion for handmade craftsmanship with the creation of functional art. My overarching objective is to cultivate and expand this business within the community by participating in live events, establishing a presence in local shops, and fostering collaborations with other small businesses in the area.

Many of us start off as makers when we are small children, and I was no different. I remember hand-sewing rag dolls, writing my own picture books, and crafting decorations for my fort that was nestled under the pine trees. Of course, we eventually grow up and focus of other things.
It wasn’t until after I graduated from college that a graphic designer colleague invited me to participate in a craft fair. It was then that my love for the art of handmade was reignited!
I’ve explored textile art, acrylic painting, upcycling plastic/other found materials, and epoxy art. My favorite has been sewing handbags because of the challenge in designing function art. I enjoy the process of taking the project through initial design, to constructing my own templates and creating prototypes, until I make my vision come to life.
Festive attire, as always…
Why does the Yeti have a broken heart?
Global Warming, his homes are melting and his tribe is dying.
These felt ornaments double as gift holders too!
My main focus this year was zipper pouches and clutches. My original pattern chapstick keychains continued to be a big hit.
This year the Yeti’s heart was full of holiday cheer. Scroll up to 2019 to see what broke the Yeti’s heart.
These leashes (and collars) were hand crafted out of used bicycle tire tubes. I saved them from a local bike shop and they would had otherwise been garbage. By adding ribbon and hardware, I gave them a new life.

As a professional graphic designer, doing my own branding on craft projects is really fun. Seen here are the logo, tags, and web banner.
I designed this sticker to represent the brand but be generic enough that people would want it just to represent their love for recycling and crafting. These vinyl stickers sold out quickly!
Another advantage to being a designer and printing industry profession is that I got to invent a unique custom die cut business card!
